Blue Cat Audio • Plugnscript: Change control values and reflect in gui

Hi - Just bought PnS a few days ago...

I am writing a midi effects plugin for storing and manipulating incoming midi. Ideally after the plugin "learns" the incoming midi, I would like to update some control parameter values and reflect those on the gui. Simply changing the input parameter values does not do this... could someone give me some steps/an example please?
