OK, KVRerers,
I am searching for eqs that have a tilt function. Tilt EQ is great for making late mixing/early mastering adjustments of just a little since if you get the center frequency right, they will cut something complementary to what you boost, in effect amplifying the effect while making small changes. Limited use case, but useful enough to want one handy.
My preference is for a visual display rather than just knobs, though both are fine. Baxandalls don't count. They are not quite. And I loves me some free. I have found one, and it may be enough, from the 2023 dev challenge: @akjb seesaw.
I also found several that do dynamic tilt, which sounds like it would be useful, but I have never tried it yet: Hofa's HOFA 4U+ DynamicTiltEQ isn't free and is reasonably priced, but this is a feature I would only need once in a great while if at all, so I'd rather not drop $$ on it just yet. Kirchhoff and Fabfilter ProQ both do all this, but cost $$. I have Kirchhoff from a good sale, so that probably solves that for me, but someone else may not have these. HoRNet Angle does the tilt, is free, but no visuals, only knobs (not a dealbreaker, you should mix with yr ears, but I find the visuals for tilt actually helpful) and only linear, no dynamic (which is also fine for most uses. There are other paid options. Let me sum up what I think I have so far from searching my own tags and kvr:
key: $$=not free, 0$ = free, v=visual display, d=dynamic
Thanks in advance for your knowledge! I'll keep the above list updated if I think of it and there is some interest, so it would be helpful if you followed the format of "name by company, keycodes".
