I had been wanting to create a JSFX plugin that automatically converts musical note values to seconds for my reverb’s pre-delay setting based on the host’s BPM, so I wouldn’t have to do mathematical calculations during mixing sessions. Just as I was thinking about this, I discovered that Polarity Audio had just released their "Reverb Delay Calculator." Still, I went ahead and coded my own JSFX plugin that does exactly what I wanted. Here it is, the Notes to Time Calculator: https://stash.reaper.fm/v/49515/Notes%2 ... -G%29.jsfx
I also tried it in other DAWs by loading it in ReaJS and YSFX, and it worked seamlessly. This got me thinking: if Steinberg ever decides to pull all licensing requirements for VST development, I strongly believe JSFX or perhaps CLAP could easily take over. I made this plugin in just a few minutes, and it rivals the one just released by Polarity Audio, and I’m not even a programmer. Plus, not only can it be used in REAPER, others can use it too via ReaJS or YSFX, regardless of which DAW they are using. REAPER is interesting.
