I’ve been very happy with Strobe2 as a ROLI customer. However, lately, all instruments I’ve loaded into FL Studio have reverted to the default preset (that piercing, raw saw wave).
I have a bunch of emotionally named instruments as part of Patcher chains that used to produce wonderful sounds now suddenly producing saw waves.
Having been burnt before, I save a new version of every project every time I make any significant changes.
In this case, however, it doesn’t matter how far back I go in the history. Since the addition of the instrument, the preset is default.
This has happened to many projects, and I can’t figure out how to restore the presets, or even figure out which original preset it was based on.
I now have a bunch of essential instruments that used to be pads, basses, drones, or whatever, sounding awful in all my projects using Strobe2, because they’re just the default preset.
Yes, I’m authorized.
Has anyone experienced this?
I wonder if it’s because I saved a project while offline and unauthorized (awful practice to require internet connectivity, by the way — I just learned there’s a way to work offline which I will try, but the damage is done), but I don’t see how that would affect past snapshots of projects.
