Hey yall
I just got an Intel i5-14600k, an absolute beast of a CPU, to upgrade from an old Ryzen 5 3600x, and unfortunately it's been terrible for audio production
Loaded up a Bitwig project file containing one instance of a 3-voice Serum patch going into a distortion and reverb (Saturn 2 and Pro-R), a project file my last CPU had no problem handling, and the CPU meter spiked hard with unbearable underruns
Despite Bitwig spiking my cpu meter, my system monitor shows CPU at about 10-20% usage per core.
My CPU governor is set to Performance and my sample rate is at a modest 1024
Anyone more tech-literate than I know what's up with this? It feels like I'm producing on a 2011 macbook, Lol.
Thanks for any help
P.S. running Arch Linux with realtime-privileges. Tested previously on Mint with the same issue.
