I already submitted a feedback/bug report to DiscoDSP, but their recent Linux download of OB-XD does actually work really nicely if you can manage to manually fix the malformed filenames and create several folders manually and put the items where they belong in such folders. It's a tedious process, but I was able to do exactly that.
Since I informed DiscoDSP, there's a chance that they will fix the Linux download, and they you guys can try it out.
It's a very impressive Oberheim emulation. I like the sound, the presets, and the interface a lot.
There are limitations as it's a demo, but for non-commercial productions it's a nice synth. For us Linux users, it's really a wonderful synth. I think the download might have been originally supported for Ubuntu Linuxes, but I was able to get 100% functionality on my Manjaro XFCE linux.
Hopefully DiscoDSP can get the Linux download file sorted out. I don't know if the other downloads are problematic or not. However, the standalone binary executable works too, and I got decent MIDI and sound via ALSA from the get go.
