Am I the only one having these sorts of major, deal breaking problems with Cubase?

I LOVE Cubase (been with it since version 8 I believe) and would love to stay with it, but... I can't work like this.

1. Cubase now ALWAYS takes anywhere from 15 minutes to ONE HOUR to load a normal sized project.

2. It's CONSTANTLY freezing and "hour glassing" during regular, nothing taxing editing.

3. The sudden "corruption" of projects.

4. In task manager, Cubase is CONSTANTLY spiking both memory and CPU power usage, literally just sitting there. Nothing playing. No editing. Nothing. Just OPEN on the screen. WTF?

I ONLY took the extravagant amount of time that I did to recently install a new HD and do a fresh install of WIndows and everything else in an attempt to make Cubase work well again. But the difference all that work made has been a marginal to moderate improvements in some areas.

I'm running a 12 core machine with 64gb memory (the max my board takes) and an advanced GPU. I can fly through 4k video editing, but CUBASE DOING NOTHING, not even playing a single track, spikes ram and CPU almost constantly.

5. Very poor, dropout filled playback of even SMALL projects, even at high buffer settings, even with all the boost/optimization, Steinberg power scheme settings selected and everything else that's supposed to make it better.

NOW... #6

In one last attempt to save Cubase for me, I just tried the Cubase Pro 14 Demo.

I opened up a project I've been working on in Cubase 11 (the last version I bought). At first, I was elated because it loaded and opened the project so quickly.

Then... I found out that it loaded quickly because it did not load 99% of my virtual instruments. The instrument slots are empty, with the three exclamation points thing.

And no... it's NOT a vst2 vs vst 3 issue.

Any instrument that has vst3 is loaded on my machine. And oddly, IK Philharmonik (which I think is vst 2) was one of the ONLY instruments to load. But wait... there's more. It loaded ON SOME TRACKS, and not others? WTF?

It found Philharmonik, loaded it, but not on ALL the Philharmonik tracks. That makes NO SENSE, and I wouldn't even begin to know how to trouble shoot that.

All I know, is that I'm tired of having to engage in endless internet searches, support questions, and forum questions and "how to fix" YouTube videos, and basically having to become an IT worker to keep Cubase barely functioning, on top of ALL the time wasted opening projects and hour glassing.

Needless to say, I won't be upgrading to Cubase 14 and once I finish this batch of projects in Cubase 11, that will be it for me and Cubase. For me at least, it's just turned into a giant box of HUGE bugs, glitches and endless problems.
